Description

We are recruiting reliable and hardworking Housekeepers/Domestic Cleaners to work in care homes across our client sites. You will help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents, ensuring high standards of hygiene throughout the home.

Duties include cleaning residents’ rooms, communal areas and bathrooms, as well as vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces. You will follow infection control and health and safety procedures while working respectfully around residents.

Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable. We offer opportunities to work across different care settings, gain valuable experience and become part of a supportive agency team.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain residents’ rooms, communal areas, bathrooms and facilities.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust and sanitise surfaces to a high standard.
  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
  • Safely use cleaning products, equipment and PPE.
  • Dispose of waste safely and correctly.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the care home.
  • Report any cleaning, maintenance or health and safety issues.
  • Work respectfully around residents, maintaining their dignity, privacy and comfort.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and care home procedures.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in care home environments
  • DBS Check on update service or willingness to obtain
  • Basic knowledge of COSHH
